โฑ๏ธ Four Minutes of Masochism
- ๐ For some time now, inspired by this video ๐ ๐ง ๐โพ๏ธ This morning routine is scientifically proven to make you limitless, Iโve been doing 4 minutes of high intensity exercise as one of the first things I do every day.
- ๐ช My typical routine is
- ๐ฉ Procrastinate a bit, trying to convince myself to do this again
- ๐ฑ Open the stopwatch app on my phone
- โฌ๏ธ Get on the floor
- ๐ง Stretch a bit, procrastinating for a few more seconds before assuming the plank position
- โฑ๏ธ Start the stopwatch
- ๐ชจ Plank for 60 - 90 seconds
- ๐๏ธ Struggle to do 10 pushups
- ๐ง Stand up and do 30-50 squats
- โฌ๏ธ Get back down and do a plank until time is up
- ๐ช or sometimes up to a minute longer depending on how I feel
- โจ I find it almost miraculous in its effectiveness.
- ๐ง Iโm much more alert and able to focus after these four minutes of masochism.
- ๐ Iโve even started doing four minutes before focused work sessions, sometimes 2 or 3 times a day.
- ๐ I still worry that I wonโt be able to do the full 4 minutes
- โณ The boost in brain power doesnโt tend to follow immediately, but slowly tapers in after a cool down period.
