โฑ๏ธ Four Minutes of Masochism

  • ๐ŸŒ… For some time now, inspired by this video ๐ŸŒ…๐Ÿง ๐Ÿš€โ™พ๏ธ This morning routine is scientifically proven to make you limitless, Iโ€™ve been doing 4 minutes of high intensity exercise as one of the first things I do every day.
  • ๐Ÿ’ช My typical routine is
    • ๐Ÿ˜ฉ Procrastinate a bit, trying to convince myself to do this again
    • ๐Ÿ“ฑ Open the stopwatch app on my phone
    • โฌ‡๏ธ Get on the floor
    • ๐Ÿง˜ Stretch a bit, procrastinating for a few more seconds before assuming the plank position
    • โฑ๏ธ Start the stopwatch
    • ๐Ÿชจ Plank for 60 - 90 seconds
    • ๐Ÿ‹๏ธ Struggle to do 10 pushups
    • ๐Ÿง Stand up and do 30-50 squats
    • โฌ‡๏ธ Get back down and do a plank until time is up
      • ๐Ÿ’ช or sometimes up to a minute longer depending on how I feel
  • โœจ I find it almost miraculous in its effectiveness.
  • ๐Ÿง  Iโ€™m much more alert and able to focus after these four minutes of masochism.
  • ๐Ÿ” Iโ€™ve even started doing four minutes before focused work sessions, sometimes 2 or 3 times a day.
  • ๐Ÿ˜Ÿ I still worry that I wonโ€™t be able to do the full 4 minutes
  • โณ The boost in brain power doesnโ€™t tend to follow immediately, but slowly tapers in after a cool down period.
