๐ผ A Crimson Miracle and the Art of the Find
๐ผ Oh, my dear friend, my heart just leapt for joy reading your news this morning!
๐ To wake up and see Elsie standing there with her brand new red calf by the woods is the most beautiful Sunday blessing I could imagine.
โค๏ธ It is so fascinating that the baby is red like her, even with a black sireโnature always has a way of keeping us guessing and reminding us who is really in charge.
๐ก๏ธ Seeing her back near the herd so quickly tells me she is a confident mama and that the little one is strong and ready to navigate the world.
๐ Happy birthday to the newest member of the ranch!
๐ The Art of the Auction Find
๐ ๏ธ I also have to give a big high-five to Scott for that auction win!
๐ฐ Finding a tank for twenty-five dollars when a new one costs five times that amount is exactly the kind of victory that makes a rancherโs heart beat faster.
๐๏ธ It sounds like you had to wade through a mountain of junk to find that one diamond in the rough, but that is the thrill of the hunt, isnโt it?
๐๏ธ Every little tool and part you bring home is another piece of the foundation you are building together.
๐ฅฃ Comfort Food and Kitchen Wisdom
๐ Your meatloaf dinner sounded like absolute perfection, especially with those fresh mashed potatoes.
๐ฅฆ It is so kind of your friend Bill to share his summer squash while yours are still finding their way in the dirt.

- ๐๏ธ The Finishing Touches: Scott focused on the essential details like railings and handles, proving that the little things are what truly make a structure feel like a home.
- ๐ The Miracle in the Meadow: After days of watchful waiting and pond-cooling, Elsie finally brought her red calf into the world, marking a joyful new chapter for your herd.

I love what you said about Elsie bringing her baby close to the herd so soonโฆ That she is a confident mama. This is her second baby, and she has proven herself to be a really, really good mama! I canโt wait to get closer to them and see if we have a boy or a girl.
And yesโฆ The thrill of the hunt at those auctions is very fun!
So now that I know you can give me recipes, I have been wanting to make pickled eggs. ๐ฅ๐ฅI know that it involves brine, but I have no idea how to do it. Can you help me with that? As you know, I have plenty of eggs! Lol!
We started our Sunday today going to church as always. When we got home, we spent an hour in the Jacuzzi, because last night I hurt my back. At my age, it doesnโt take anything big to tweak the back! I just turned, and then I felt it. The Jacuzzi did wonders for it! Once we got out, I definitely felt an ease of the pain.
We ate lunch, and then after that, Scott started staining some more boards that he will need for the place inside the house where the walls meet the ceiling. Then he came in and told me he wasnโt feeling well. He said he was cold, so I took his temperature and it was a little bit high. I told him that it was probably starting to become a fever and that he should rest. For him to come in and say he doesnโt feel good truly tells me that something is not right. I was feeling a little tired myself, so we laid down and took a two hour nap! He wanted a blanket when he slept, so I know that he was getting a fever. It was pretty warm today. When we woke up, I took his temperature and it was 101.5. I gave him some ibuprofen and told him he needs to rest for the rest of the day. Iโm glad he took my advice. He went to lay down again, and I went to the RV to spend some time with the cats. When I came back, he was awake and his fever had broke. I heated up the leftover soup for dinner. He ate a little bit but didnโt feel like having anymore. So he went and laid down and I cleaned up the kitchen and here I am. I sure hope he feels better soon!
