Well the grouting is done on the balcony! And guess what!? ALL the tile work is officially done in the house! Scott is so relieved! He finished around lunchtime today, and after lunch he went right to the staircase work. That man works so hard! We went into town for more glue for the stairs after lunch. Oh, I forgot to mentionโฆ.we went this morning to check on the herd. Everyone was accounted for, and Mama and baby number 2 are doing well.
I continued working in the kitchen. I moved the microwave twice, and itโs now in its final space. Iโm happy with it. Iโm still moving things in the pantry. OH!!! I canโt believe I forgot to mention that after the hardware store, we went to the storage unit and got the other TV and a few more boxes. Itโs in the window room, but there was no time to see if it would work. Fingers crossed! ๐ค
Before dinner we walked to the far pasture to check on the herd again. By number 1 was running and jumping just like a little puppy! She is so cute! We couldnโt see Mama and number 2. Well check again tomorrow.
When I woke up a little while ago, I saw the cows were making their migration over. And then I saw a bunch of white birds flying around them and they landed by each cow. They were about five or six of these birds. They are smaller than a seagull, but larger than, say a Bluejay or a regular bird and they were pure white. Scott said people call them cow birds. Do you know what they actually are? I could hear some of the cows mooing at the same time, the Roosters are growing. It very much felt And sounded like a ranch! Lol!
So A couple of days ago when I gathered the eggs, one of the French black copper Marans was sitting on some eggs. She has remained there, so we suspect she is brooding. Yesterday, when I gathered the eggs, she was still there, and there were two eggs that were not hers in front of her and I took them. She didnโt like that. She packed me half heartedly. I told Scott about it and he said that they sit on several eggs, even if they are not theirs and I shouldโve left them there. I didnโt know that! I feel really bad! But if sheโs still there today, and there are extra eggs there, I will leave them there. One of them was blue, so I knew for sure it wasnโt hersโฆ
