Hi Loo! I love the way you said this land is shaping us in a brand new way. As a teacher, the most physical thing I did was walk quickly to PE class so the class wasnโt late! ๐ I am doing manual labor that Iโve never done before, and you are correct-I AM becoming stronger! Last summer was our first full summer to live here. Every day I would fill a 5 gallon bucket about 3 quarters full of water over by the well house and haul it to the chicken coop (about 120 feet away) so I could fill a big rubber pan of water for the chickens. No matter what Scott was doing inside the house at the time, he would always see me and rush out to carry the bucket for me. He is the ultimate gentleman! Even though in my head I knew I wanted to carry it so I could build up my strength, I didnโt want to take that away from himโฆ.you know, he loves to help me. ๐ฅฐ Do you think I should tell him this summer, or continue to let him help? ๐ชฃ
Another example: we buy the chicken feed in 50 pound bags. Scott usually opens them and carries them to the food barrel and fills them up. Sometimes after we buy them, he stacks them by the coop door to deal with them later. Well, I started filling the barrelโฆ.it was SO hard at first, but itโs getting easier. So you are so right about getting stronger! It makes me so happy to do things like that. ๐ช

You asked what room I am looking most forward to being in when itโs all doneโฆ.the balcony with a cup of coffee is a great guess! That is definitely one of them! I canโt wait to sit in the front room that we call the โwindow room,โ
because of the 5 floor to ceiling windows. That will be where the book shelves, TV, recliners, and entertainment system will be. It just screams โRELAXINGโ to me, and I canโt wait to be there when itโs all done. Oh, and the laundry room of course! ๐๐งบ
So I have to share this with you-I know you will love it! Back story first: there is a song called โKiss Meโ by Sixpence None the Richer. A long time ago for some reason we started dancing to it. Every time the line says โkiss meโ (which is quite a bit) we kiss. We have also put movements into it, like when she sings, โswing me upon its swinging tireโ Scott swings me. There are many other moves we have added. Itโs really fun. We both have the song on our playlists, and EVERY time it comes on, we drop everything and dance. Once we were walking through the casino and it came on over their speaker system and we danced right there in the midst of throngs of people. It was so very romantic and fun!! Anyway, this morning we were driving into town and that song came on. Scott paused it and pulled over into one of those half circle cutouts for drivers to pull over safely for whatever reason. He said to open the door and get out. He turned it up really loud, kept both doors open, extended his hand to me, and we did our dance right there in the side of the road!!! The pullout area was large and made a great dance floor! Usually there is little to no traffic, but at that time so many cars went by!! Loo, it was the most romantic thing!! I was swooning!!! We laughed and smiled all throughout. Can I tell you how very much I LOVE โusโ?? Scott and I have been together for almost 38 years-married for almost 37 years- and we are still so in love. We have so much fun, and we donโt care at all if the world witnesses our spontaneous dances no matter where we are! ๐ฅฐ๐ฅฐ๐ฅฐ๐ฅฐ I know you will love that story!
