Well, we did not get up early enough to enjoy those cooler temperatures! We slept in way longer than we wanted to. But we got up, got ready, and headed out. We stopped at our favorite donut place and got kolaches and a doughnut and then we went to the storage unit. And the greatest thingโฆ Drumroll, please ๐ฅ๐ฅ is that we actually cleared out completely and swept out another storage unit! We just earned back $85 a month! We moved a lot of this stuff over to one of our last two remaining storage units and we brought a bunch home. We got the big things homeโฆ The grandfather clock, the gun safe, and the filing cabinet. We worked all day, but we made sure we took breaks and drank water and sat in the cool air-conditioning of the truck from time to time. But we got it done! It feels so amazing!
On the way back from the storage units, we stopped at Subway and got some lunch and then we went home and unloaded a bunch of stuff. And thenโฆ We got changed into our bathing suits, hopped in the truck, and drove the nine minutes to our river right down the street. We brought our folding canvas chairs and set them up in the water. It felt so nice! We have been having a drought here, so the river is lower than it usually is and it wasnโt nearly as cold. The section we were in is about 40 feet wide and it moves very slowly. We sat there in the water and watched the little sunfish swim around us and cautiously come up to us and take a nibble out of whatever area they could get to. I knew it was happening, but every time it nibbled on my left leg, I would jump. We laughed a lot, talked a lot, and relaxed a lot. It was a very very well earned wonderful relaxation time for us.
We came home and watched movies and went to bed. It was a very productive day that ended on a great relaxation note!
Now we are getting ready for church. That is something I always look forward to!
