Well, there is still chaos in the downstairs with the Newell posts and other construction stuff scattered around, but we will make it work. They know itโs not done yet, so there is no expectation of perfection. Their room will be nice for them. I got this idea from my sister-in-law: she doesnโt want us to strip the bed after a visit, because she waits until the next guests come before changing and washing the sheets. That way, they are nice and fresh for the newcomers. I love that idea, so Iโm stealing it! Iโm also stealing an idea from my precious daughter-in-law: every time we visit them, she has either a box or a handful of mints on our pillow! Itโs the sweetest thing and such a nice surprise! Itโs happened so many times, that I have come to look forward to it. She is so thoughtful! So I want to do that for our guests โฆ.I picked up a bag of Andes Mints yesterday!
Yesterday we went to Hot Springs for bunch of errands. We always save up all the things we need to do so we can make one trip. It usually lasts most of the day. We started with breakfast at our favorite place there. Then later we had lunch. We were there that long, but I always enjoy it. It stresses Scott out, because heโs away from the house and he thinks about so that still has to be done. But the errands need to be done.
I changed my mind about the cheesecakeโฆ. I want to make cookies instead, and I may wait until they are here so Christina and I can make them together. She has been out sonโs girlfriend for a relatively short time, and I feel that will be a nice bonding moment. We already love her; weโve met her in person twice and weโve had video calls and we text each other, so thereโs already a nice foundation.
We will check in the herd again today- hopefully weโll see if baby number 2 is a boy or girl! ๐ค
