Still no calves!
What you said it so trueโฆ.that I am now looking at the house as a resident and not a builder. You are so right! Yesterday I finished vacuuming and dusting the upper cabinets in the laundry room, and as I was dusting, I flashed back to when I was sanding those very shelves. That happens a lotโฆ When I look at something thatโs already built and ready in the house I flashback to the very beginning when I was sanding, or staining, or helping put up. Itโs crazy! I just canโt wait for it to be done. Scott did not finish the shower in four days like he thought he would, because he ran out of the spacers and had to stop one day. He is continuing that work today. Yesterday, after the shelves, I went and got some more hay from the field and brought it over to the coop. It had rained and I always throw extra hay down inside the coop to keep from slipping. I did spend a lot of time with the chickens yesterday. I was able to pick up my favorite rooster and walk around with him for a little bit. Heโs the one that came up first to the door and packed on the window. Heโs also the one that stood on the painting rack to see in the window! lol! I was able to separate the roosters from the girls as well. Itโs always so nice to give them a break. We did go yesterday to the cattle auctionโฆ We wanted to see if there were any calves that we would be interested in, but we didnโt see anything we wanted.
I never ever take it for granted that we are now sleeping in the house. I just look around at the room and I just cannot believe we built it! Itโs a pretty amazing feeling
